The Morta EDC

EDC is an acronym of every day carry well known in the world of cutlery and refers in particular to the knife that you can carry with you every day.

We had long dreamed of a knife with qualities that often seem contradictory.

We wanted a fixed blade knife, yet pocketable. Efficient, but very compact. With an exceptional grip yet with a very low profile. A versatile tool that is as reliable as it is elegant. One that can be used in the forest, but also as a table companion.

In short: The ultimate knife!

This initial vision brought us many challenges, and we created a large number of prototypes before finally arriving at the model that checked all the boxes.

Thus, this particularly compact Morta knife was designed to fit in a pocket or bag. Its thickness of 3.5mm ensures excellent resistance in every situation. Its blade, made of 90mcv8 steel and handcrafted in our workshop, guarantees superb cutting power, and its handle, made from Morta wood sourced from the depths of the Brière marshes, gives it an incomparable soul.
